What level should my child be enrolled in?

Children ages 6 months to 2 years old should be enrolled in Parent and Child Aquatics.

Children ages 3 to 5 years of age should be enrolled in Pre-School Aquatics Level 1 if they have had no prior experience. If they have had prior experience and made progress, they can be registered in Pre-School Level 2.

Children ages 6 to 9 year years old should register in the Learn to Swim Program. There are 6 levels. Here is how to choose the level that is right for you:

Level 1: Introduces children to the water, focusing on comfort, safety, and basic floating and movement skills.

Level 2: Builds confidence and independence as swimmers begin moving through the water and learning fundamental strokes.

Level 3: Develops coordination, technique, and endurance while swimmers start covering greater distances.

Level 4: Refines stroke technique, increases stamina, and introduces additional swimming skills.

Level 5: Enhances proficiency across all major strokes while building endurance and learning advanced safety skills.

Level 6: Perfects stroke efficiency and prepares swimmers for advanced aquatic activities such as fitness, competition, or lifeguarding.

Children ages 10 - 12 Should be enrolled in Pre-Teen Aquatics.

Children ages 13 to 17 should be enrolled in Teen Aquatics.
Do you accept the Water Smart Broward Voucher?
Yes we do. Use Coupon Code: WATERSMART (all caps) for first child. If you have multiple children, use Coupon Code: WATERSMART2 for child two and WATERSMART3 for child three for fee to be waived. You must submit your voucher numbers in check out to be able to use coupon.
What time are classes?
We generally conduct Classes Monday thru Thursday from 3pm to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 12 noon. Most parents prefer to attend two sessions per week. Schedule 1 is attending Monday and Wednesdays. Schedule 2 is attending Tuesday and Thursdays. Schedule 3 is attending Saturday and another day Monday thru Thursday (this schedule must be worked out with staff). Register for schedule 1 or 2 and then we will adjust you into Schedule 3.
What if my child cries?
Most children especially young ones cry in the beginning and that is normal. Young children communicate with adults in a unfamiliar environment by crying it is a normal expression. It is important to remember your child is in a new environment with a strange person and they look to mom and dad for approval. As lessons continue the anxieties become less evident the fun begins. If your child expresses excessive fears it is important to continuing lessons and vital not to stop and continue until they conquer and overcome them. Being positive and giving them praise is the best thing you can do to help them along their learning process.
What should I bring to class?
General Essentials:
Swimsuit: Opt for a comfortable swimsuit that lets you move freely.
Goggles (optional): Enhance your underwater adventures with clear vision. (no goggles that cover the nose allowed)
Towel: An absolute must for post-swim drying
Bathing Caps (optional): If your hair is longer than ear-length, bathing caps keep it in check and protect its health.
Additional Tips:
Change of Clothes: Changing into dry clothes is a breeze after your swim.
Water Bottle: Stay refreshed even during pool time.
Sunscreen (optional)
Positive Attitude: Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn are critical ingredients for a fantastic time!
